Educational Background
I grew up overseas and have spent most of my academic career in international school settings in Central America and Asia. Throughout my time overseas I have come to thoroughly enjoy and appreciate diversity in all aspects of life. I have been richly blessed by my time overseas and I like to think that it has made me a more well-rounded, globally-minded person.

More recently, I have been attending Hope College since the Fall of 2009. I began my Education classes and field placements in the Fall of 2010. Since then I have been privileged to engage with a diverse group of students, abilities, content areas and grade levels.
Part of my education through Hope was a semester of study abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina through a program called IES Abroad (Institute for the International Education of Students). It was an incredible experience whereby I was able to live with an Argentine host family, study completely in Spanish, and improve upon my language abilities greatly.
